PLASTIC BOTTLE BOAT- SOCIETY OF NAVAL ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS

It's a small boat which is made up of plastic bottles which are fastened to a 9 mm Marine plywood sheet with the help of nut and bolt. It is capable of carrying a load of  around 120-150 kilograms. It has a draft of about 7 cms with optimum load, and the most interesting fact is the stability of the boat. it would not capsize even if the Load is concentrated at the ends. It was displayed in Shaastrayaan 2018. The team which constructed the boat consists of
1. Rejith R J - The Master Mind behind the Venture.
2. Nirmal J Sabu
3. Vignesh Raj
4. Don Tervin Lindo
5. Aswin Mohan
6. M Sreesanker
7. Jemin John
8. Noel Francis
9. Ranjith K
All the students are B.Tech Naval Architecture & Ship Building students from Department of Ship Technology, CUSAT. I heartily thank all my friends for the who have motivated us. Proud to say "Shippies did it".
